Bee Mine

I've have noticed lately while blurfing a style of card that is getting popular.... or at least I've seen quite a few on different blogs.  I've admired the design and finally played around with it.  And it became a Valentine card even though the holiday is over.

Isn't this just wild!  I embossed the white card cover with a "brick" cuttlebug folder.  I found a small piece of red  cardstock, trimmed then punched a 2" heart and added white "stitching" with my white gel pen.  I adhered it with foam mounting tape.  I stamped the cute little bee and text, both from a TAC set, cut out, colored, mounted.

Here you can see the bee, stitching, and embossing a bit better.  I REALLY like this design.  Hope to try it with flowers and some other punches I have. I colored the bee with Copics and added some Stardust Clear gel pen on the wings.  I just have to smile looking at this bee.  Have you tried this design yet?

And I just have to add a couple photos of my GVR (Green Valley Recreation) class in Green Valley, AZ last week.  Sandi, Betty, and Evelyn were just a hoot!

These gals are terrific at bouncing ideas off each other and working together.  They make the class just so easy to teach! Betty and Evelyn usually sit side by side and Sandi sits across from them. I just wished I would have more gals.  Oh well.  This was the Side Step Card class and they came up with some great cards!  My next GVR class is the 22nd and I'll be teaching the Middle Step Card.

Tomorrow I'm posting the card I submitted to Operation Write Home for their color challenge.  Be sure and check back!
