Desks, Nut Cups, and Snowflakes

We're having a heat wave here in the southwest.  Got to 80*F yesterday!  Oh my!  Break out the flip flops!  Hard to wrap my head around Christmas just a couple weeks away with these temperatures!  But today I'm posting for another reason.  It's WEDNESDAY!  Yep, weekly desk day!  Julia, at the Stamping Ground, has done an amazing job to bring crafters together for 340 weeks!  And if this is new to you just head over to her place and click on the button/page "What is WOYWW?"  You may even want to join in!

My desk is busy getting Christmas cards ready to send.  I've been stamping the backs with my info and these cards will go to my customers and downline.  I have a large pile of non-FSJ cards to go to friends and family.

Last Friday night our church ladies group held our annual Christmas dinner.  I signed up to decorate a table.  Since I made a large gazebo last summer I signed up to decorate.  This is so out of my box.

I purchased a small string of battery-powered lights, had a piece of faux snow fabric, some brush bottle trees, some snowflakes, and some snowflake ornaments and nut cups.

The table turned out pretty good.  The other tables, WOW!  There were 8 tables of 6 (had a couple empty chairs) and each were fabulous! Everyone had a great time and we even brought our hubbys or dates!

Well, now that I've shown you what I've been doing please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other desks and projects of the crafters who joined in.

Thanks for visiting me while I slept. This lovely centerpiece you made for the banquet may be out of your comfort zone, but it turned out to be a beautiful entry. I think it made a simply fantastic centerpiece.

You asked about the lace and fabric I dyed. Yes, you spotted it in the photo. I had to take it off the top of the table to show Julia's card. I used Staz-on reinkers and 91% rubbing alcohol as my dye. Thanks for asking. Happy WOYWW from #1.

The Christmas card factory is open! That is what my hubby calls it when I get in that mode. I have most of them addressed and about half of them sent. Isn't this weather wonderful?? Of course I'm inside a big cement box with way too much air conditioning but I know just on the other side of the wall it is beautiful. Speaking of beautiful, you table decorations are wonderful! I'll bet y'all had fun!!!
