Desks and Coffee Cups

It's a beautiful Wednesday!  The mornings lately have been below freezing so be having to scrape the car's windshield and back window but warming to mid 60's* in the afternoon.  But it's also the day you get to visit my desk and the desks of many others who are brave enough to show you where they create. And our wonderful head desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground, has done quite the feat of bringing us all together on a weekly basis!

My desk is very busy.  I've been working on an idea for a gift card holder for our church's Solid Rock Cafe gift cards.  My first idea fell flat but this one looks like it may work.  I'll have to post how it comes out later as I've a long ways to go.  You can see some of it on my work pad.

I'm using the "Love You A Latte" cartridge in my old Cricut Expression (hard to believe that a 4 year old machine is basically obsolete already!)   So much on my desk got shoved over to the far right and you can't see the terrible mess under the dark brown card stock (thank goodness!).

And the last few weeks you've seen a coffee cup on my desk waiting for decorating.  Well, I got all 8 done and all are for Christmas gifts.

I used some stencils by "Painted by Me" and a paint pen purchased at my local Jo-Anns craft store.  Unfortunately 2 stencils fell completely apart when I was removing them.  The cups did have to be baked in the oven to make the words permanent.  So glad to get these done!

Ok, now that you've reached the end of today's post please head over to Julia's desk and click on the links to oodles of other desks!  I'll be doing some visiting and working on today's projects.

I like the coffee cups :) I bought some white ones last year at Christmas to try the drawing on mug thing...and then ran out of time and energy. Perhaps I will give them a go this year. Happy WOYWW! PaperOcotilloStudio #37

I was going to comment on that beautiful red thing there. Is it old and obsolete? I can't believe that!
Is that where the mug quotes come from? (Cricut cartridge?)
Those mugs are great. You can sell those easily and make some money too. Have you got an Etsy shop?
Have a good week,

Ahh coffee! Nothing like it, is there. Nice cups! Thank you for visiting my blog, Carol, and especially for your prayers. Given time I shall get back into the swing of things but at the moment I'm exhausted which is probably a reaction to everything that's been happening.

Happy WOYWW,

I think Julia might have Love You a Latte as a stamp! Or something very similar. Those mugs are brilliant, they'll make great prezzies :-)
