Monster Treat Box prototype

As promised here is the cute little monster you seen on my desk in the previous post....

I used a piece of scrap white core DCWV card stock so it's cracking at the folds.  I tried both mini glue dots and liquid glue (Beacon's 3-in-1 Advanced Craft Glue) on the dark purple sides and prefer the liquid glue.  The teeth were pieced as were the eyes so I did a lot of intricate cutting.

The side view gives you an idea of the depth of the box and how it's closed.  I had some 1/4" pink ribbon on hand and, except for the color, it works great.

I added some mini black rhinestones to the eyes and now they really pop!  I think these (I also have other "monsters" and a pumpkin) will be wonderful for the granddaughters and great grandson! The stamps are by Inky Antics.

Wednesday my folks and I took part in the Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day in Tucson, AZ.  It was fantastic!  The lines were very long but I visited with many and the time seemed to fly by! Everyone was very polite, patient with the waiting, and friendly!  I am a firm believer in the 1st Amendment (actually the whole Bill of Rights, Constitution, and all) and Freedom of Religion.  But I also agree with Mr. Cathy about traditional marriage.  The Bible is my handbook and I love Jesus.

I had Dad snap this photo of me.  And I have to say my sandwich was delicious!  I hope to go back again and take hubby (he was at work so didn't go with us).  A local news station had a guy there and Dad and I were taped but we got cut in the final that was shown. Oh well.
