Celebrating the wedding

A couple months ago a young couple in our church got married and Sunday night the church is having a little reception for them.  I've made a couple (I like that word right now apparently) cards for us and my folks to give them.

This card used the word from the Sophisticated Sentiments set along with the FREE downloadable paper patterns that TAC as provided. To find the paper just click the Free Downloads button in the sidebar.  I also used Tattered Flowers die then ran the flowers through a Cuttlebug folder.

I spritzed the flowers before stacking with the Silver Shimmer from the Gold & Silver Shimmer Spritz pack. There is beautiful sheen even though you can't really see it.  I divided the 2 patterns with a 1/4" black ribbon and added the black gem from the Black Gem Collection.  I used some foam mounting tape to adhere the flower to the card then curled the petals for more dimension.  Very dramatic in my opinion.  There is a 4th flower to the set but I couldn't find it on my work table.  (Guess I need to clean my table!)

This card is a bit more subdued but still eye-catching in my opinion.  I used some dark brown and ocean green white-core cardstocks along with white cardstock.  I ran the green through the same Cuttlebug folder as the flowers from the previous card but then I sanded it to bring out the design. I used the Super Jumbo and Mega Scalloped Oval punches and the phrase is from the Contemporary Greetings set and  Oasis Green VersaMagic ink.

All the little copper metallic gems I purchased to use with my I*Rock tool by Imaginisce. This is a great tool and I've used the daylights out of it!

I now need to go online and find appropriate sayings for the insides of the cards and get them printed and adhered.

Just a quick question for those who are not "teachers" with TAC™.  Do you use the links I provide to view the stamps and products I use?

I really really like the black & white one - I especially liked how you even used black bling for your flower.
