Room for S'Mores and a Punny Card

Our oldest son and his wife are celebrating their anniversary today.  When we visited them in August we spent one evening on the patio making S'mores and chatting while we watched our granddaughters goof off.  Was a fabulous evening!  I wanted to make them a card using inspiration from that evening.

I've had this stamp set, Always S'more,  for quite some time and this is the first time it's seen ink!  (I have a few sets that are still virgin.) I started by using 2 collections of PanPastels, Rich Sorbet and Party Pop (sale on these end tomorrow!) and a Large Dauber Dowel to make the background. on a piece of Whip Cream card stock. I stamped the branch and sentiment using Black Licorice ink.  I splattered some Sparkle Silk and watered down Gesso to look a bit like stars. I applied some Butter Cream ink on a scrap piece of Whip Cream and stamped the marshmallows.  I did heat set these before detail cutting and then sponged a bit of Oatmeal Cookie ink to make the mallows look a bit cooked.  In real life the mallows are brown and not grey like they look here.

I adhered the mallows with Foam Squares.  I tore the edges and adhered to a layer of Denim Days then on Black Licorice card stocks.

I'm sure they'll love this card!  I know I do!

I also had to make a fun card for a friend who turned 80.  His wife is having an open house tomorrow afternoon and I hope to get there.

I used an old Bloom Box card kit that my up-line gave me and our Punny, Punny stamp set. Card stocks used are: Cool Pool, Bubble Gum, Candy Apple, Lemon Drop, and Whip Cream.  I used 2 inks, Black Licorice and Cool Pool (sponged around the circle die cut.  Two dies sets were involved, Rectangles and Circles.

I colored the planets with our Color Burst Pencils, added some Journey Glaze and Blue Skies sequins. Also used was the Easy Glide Adhesive and Foam Squares.

Inside the card is stamped "you planet".  I love puns and had fun making this card!
