A Couple Patriotic Cards For the Troops

One of my fellow coaches asked us to bring a Patriotic card to send to a member of our armed services.  I made 2, 1 for me and 1 for someone else to use.  Both the designs came from Pinterest, so many great ideas and inspiration!

I like this card and really wanted to use the Sun Rays die set.  I also used our Star-Dom die set. I used Candy Apple, Catalina Splash, Brush Silver, and Whip Cream card stocks.  The stamped phrase comes from our Bold Wings stamp set (picture not available on the web site - at least not when I was making this post but it has a huge butterfly along with 3 phrases).  I added stitching around the large star edge was made with our Silver Marker and a few Special Celebration sequins finished off some bling.

This card is my favorite.

Such a simple card (to my thinking) yet elegant!

Stamp sets: Inksplat ATSCreate Confetti (on SALE), and Beautiful America
Card stocks: Whip Cream, Denim Days, Brush Silver, and Pearl Basics (it was white but I colored it!)
Inks: Candy Apple and Denim Days
I did cut the text stamp in half to make my banner. I do like to cut text stamps (if possible without ruining) to use in different ways.

I am on my way to the Phoenix area this morning.  I don't know the count of how many are attending but I'm sure it'll be great.  I'm even taking a class on making videos!  Hope to do some YouTube videos and even have some "homework" using the VivaVideo app on my phone.
