Since hubby is working today on a hay baler and his pickup I started blog surfing to see what kind of inspiration I could get. And I found a challenge! I follow Red Rubber Inspirationals and love their stamps but this card doesn't use any of theirs. Oops. But I do have oodles! This challenge #127 is called Christmas in July and required something stamped. Ok. The snowman, snowflakes and the sentiment are stamped.
After thinking about it for a moment I realized that the white embossed snowflakes ARE from a set from RRD called "Ornamental Snowflakes". The snowman is a digi from Pickled Potpourri Designs and text is from a retired set by TAC called Jingle Jolly. I also used a Cuttlebug embossing folder of snowflakes. I cut the opening using a Spellbinder die. The blue ribbon and paper are from a cool DCWV paper pack that I've had, like, forever!
I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush on the snowman's hat rim and ball but it just doesn't show up well in photos. And I colored this little guy with Copic markers but didn't try to do any blending or fancy stuff. Not bad. The overall design was inspired by a card on Pinterest that I pinned in my Cards - Christmas board. So don't forgot to hop over to the Red Rubber Inspirationals blog and check out some fun Christmas cards. I'm going to have plenty this year!
