A Challenging Desk

No, my desk isn't a challenge but what I'm working on, is. And my ideas are kinda coming together. But this view of my desk is part of a blog tour that's been going on for 659 weeks sponsored by Ms. Julia of the Stamping Ground.

There's not much happening on the rest of my desk as I've been focused on this only when I took this picture yesterday afternoon.  At the time of this picture I have already prepped for this morning's video so I started in on this challenge.

I was given a couple clear lids to use on a card as a Mystery Item challenge for our local stamp club. The 2 larger ones are the same size of the ones we were given but I lost one and am not happy with what I've done with the other.  Any ideas what to do?  I'll be sharing my finished card on Friday so you'll just have to give your imagination a work out! (I thought using them for shaker cards but glue would not stick to the plastic.)

I hope you'll check out the other crafters' links and have a look!

How about a porthole in a submarine with tiny fish sequins? I have never made a shaker card, but I would with the lid. Have a great week Angela #10

Mmmm..... interesting challenge, plastic lids. You could make a shaker card but if it were me I'd use them to stamp with Lol! Sorry no other ideas. Have a happy woyww, Angela x1x

Plastic lids? I hoard them :) Of all the things to reduce plastics they pick lids that mean you get spilled cream or a rubbish cover for dairy that can pick up fridge odors. Makes me crazy. I think shaker cards too mut you probably just need to find the right adhesive - maybe cutting a circle to fit just inside the lid so the shaker elements are between the lid front and the circle. then stick the circle in place from behind with ... cool melt glue? thick PVA? than stick the cardstock circle to the front of the card? It could work.... maybe :D
good luck!

That looks like an interesting challenge Carol. I like the idea of a rnadom overlapping background. Look forward to seeing the results. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4

I think silicone glue would work a treat if you want to peruse the shaker card idea. I also think I have no clue s to what else….you could colour them with alcohol inks and make some sort of hanging garden ornament?!! Gosh if your challenges are this hard I’m not sure I’d be able to participate for long!!
