Yay! A Busy Desk!

Yesterday seemed to be the turn-around day of my recovery! I actually started being functional and sleeping almost a normal amount.   I'm still weak but am doing oh so much better (other than still coughing). So, I started working on my 20 Christmas tags for a swap. And today's post and desk view is part of a great group of crafters who are willing to show you their desks in whatever shape their in. I'm linked up with Julia of the Stamping Ground. This is week 648.

I was able to sit and cut rectangles out of 20 tag fronts as I'm making shaker tags. I got quite a ways further than this as I attached the clear fronts to the tags. Today I hope to finish. I used my paper trimmer for cutting out the centers.  Those to be cut are on the left and the cut ones are on the right.  I still need to color 20 penguins and cut them out.

It feels so good to finally being able to do things but driving and working is still going to take a few days.

You know, I am not sure I have ever made a shaker ANYTHING. I probably should give it a go, as otherwise my knowledge base is lacking LOL! Your papers are very snowy looking and I'll bet the resulting cards will be lovely. Guess we will have to wait for a big reveal at some point....

:D

I’m so pleased that you’re on the mend, there are some really nasty bugs going round. A little bit of crafting is the best to mind!

I'm glad you're beginning to feel better now, Carol. I've never made a shaker - they do sound fun, though.

So glad you’re emerging, and really cross that you were so poorly. It does seem to cause major tiredness, so you need to do little and often stints I think. The tags sound great, and dare I say it..quite a lot of work! But they will be super to receive and you’re swappers will be thrilled, that’s for sure. I can’t remember the last time I made a shaker anything, but especially as small tag…it’s going to take some fiddling, so totally over to you! Hope the cough subsides quickly now. Thinking of you.
