Week 640 Workdesk

Yep, another Wednesday, another desk view. I have been working (yesterday afternoon) on what to show on my video this morning and, with this desk view, I am ready. I'll be making a Waterfall Card! It's been a long long time but I think I've got it.  And today's desk is linking with many others to Julia's blog, The Stamping Ground.

On the far left is my Fiskars cutter, a pack of paper, and the directions I printed up many years ago when I taught this card in a class. On my glass mat is the card partially ready, my stamped images, an ink pad, and the package of Stampendous stamps I'm using. Far right you can see the Magic Mat on my Platinum machine.

I'll be doing my video at 10 this morning Arizona time on my FB page, Stampin Carol - Lots of Crafty Goodness. When I'm done I'll be taking photos of the completed card then uploading the video to my YouTube channel. Then I'll be working on tomorrow's post. It will be a busy day. I won't be here next Wednesday as my hubby gets his routine endoscopy.

Anyway, I hope you head over to Julia's and check out more desks. Until next time I join in, God bless you!

Good grief, a waterfall card! Not only that, a Christmas waterfall, filled with gnomes, just perfection! I did a couple of waterfalls in a class but never mastered the art alone, again, no doubt, you will be my teacher. Hope the allergies are holding back now and that next week goes well for himself….really, can you ever call an endoscopy ‘routine’??!!!

I love Waterfall cards but haven't made one for ages, they used to be very popular and I'm sure they will be again. Wishing you a happy woyww evening, Angela x19x

I've made several waterfall cards over the years, Carol, and they are so much fun! The last one I did was in the interactive album I made about my mum. It had photos of her as a baby and child, at the beginning of the book. Everyone who's seen it is intrigued by the little tab you pull and the pages flip up like magic! I adore 3-D and interactive stuff. It sounds as if your week is a busy one. I hope your hubby will be OK with his investigation and that the results will be OK too. Not a very pleasant procedure.

Thank you for your comment, and I'm so glad you enjoyed my post! I had such fun experimenting with the CD tiles and am dying to do some more, but life is just so busy at the moment and creative stuff always ends up at the bottom of the heap! I had to be really disciplined today and make a start on the accounts (late, for the first time this year!) - always a bad sign when my hubby starts dropping weighty hints about not getting his money!!! As for my mixer, I've had it for over 30 years and it's still going strong. There are lots of different attachments for it. It has 3 places for them - the main one under the arm, one on top, and one on the front. We've all had Kenwoods in our family - Mum and my sister and me, and my cousins!

I'm trying to get ahead of myself a bit this week in advance of my radiotherapy which starts tomorrow as I've been warned it will leave me feeling very fatigued. There's so much I want to do in the studio at the moment. As well as all this, I've had the influx of all the apples and blackberries to deal with! One thing I can say about my life - I am never bored!

Thank you for sharing that particular verse of Scripture today - I have good reason to be happy to be reminded of that advice.

Happy belated WOYWW and God bless,
Shoshi x #15
