Workdesk in Use

Ah, another Wednesday. Days are kinda running together. This is week 638 and I'm joining up with Julia of the Stamping Ground and many others by giving you a look at my desk.  I'm not doing a video today as I'll be doing it Friday afternoon showing the making of my class cards. So, I actually have a project on my desk but I'll be sharing more about it tomorrow as I add affiliate links which is a no no on this post. So... my desk.

I had just finished making my card and haven't yet put stuff away. There is a pack of paper far left, stamps on the right side of my glass mat, my card, then my roll of foam tape, scissors, and my old ATG adhesive roller.  Far right is my Platinum 6 die cut machine.

My mojo came back for a short time but today it seems to be dozing or something. Or maybe that's me as I've been having a lot of allergy issues lately. Then I got the results of a blood draw and my eGFR (kidneys) is low which bums me out.  I read somewhere that fruits, veggies, exercise, and losing weight may help. So I purchased a veggie tray to snack on instead of wheat crackers (I'll still munch on a couple). My allergy pills make me a bit tired but I'll plug in my tread mill and do a mile on days I don't work. I am getting more steps in daily but I need more cardio type. Anyway.

Please head over to Julia's and check out the links to desks. I didn't get very far last week due to doctor appts. then allergies. Hopefully I'll get a lot of visiting done this week.

Hope your methods to beat the allergies work Carol. Clearing and restoring the shed has given me plenty of exercise in the last week. Hope the mojo stays for a bit longer too! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #7

I think sometimes it's just better to walk away from the desk when Mr Mojo goes on holiday but I'm sure he'll be back soon. Hope you get on top of the allergies. Have a lovely and creative woyww. Hugs Angela x9x

Sorry to hear our test results weren't what you hoped for. I know what that feels like. I am up to 2.5 miles per day on the treadmill and it really does help. Look forward to seeing your card!

Happy WOYWW, getting back to it

Any exercise is good for lifting spirits, I do about 6 miles on my exercise bike every day. Hope your allergies problems cease, it’s no fun when you just feel off.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with your health, Carol, and hope you feel better soon. I'm snacking on tofu at the moment in the hope of staving off the menopausal symptoms of my oestrogen blocker.

Naughty mojo, slinking off again like that!!

Hope you can kick the allergies into touch and get your Mojo back. I know I feel better for going to Kew and walking at the weekend. Take care. Helen #3

Oh poor you Carol, things are conspiring to make you fell less than 100%. I am naturally low on anti histamine so have to take the allergy pills but only if we’re going somewhere that will involve mosquitoes. Even the non-drowsy type make me sleepy, so I have to take them about an hour before bed time. Luckily the build up of anti-histamine helps, but otherwise, taking them overnight is a bit pointless for daytime stuff. I feel for you, it’s a horrible sort of semi hung over feeling isn’t it. Bet as the weather moves down the temp scale a bit you’ll start to feel the difference. I would say ‘when it rains’, but does it ever rain in Arizona??! I also wanna acknowledge and say thanks for your not doing the affiliate links in this post, it has opened WOYWW up to so many promotions and advertiser blogs that it’s just too difficult to find the real blogs in between, so I appreciate your understanding! Now, when you say old ATG gun, you mean GOod old ATG gun, surviving and serving like a good ‘un…don’t you? I don’t know how’d old mine is, but I’m still very fond of it!

Thanks for your return visit, Carol. If my oncologist hadn't advised against it, I would certainly have gone back on the phyto-oestrogens in supplement form as they really did work for me in the past. However, I'm enjoying all the soy in my diet at the moment and think it is having a beneficial effect - no night sweats for the past few nights, and only 2 or 3 mild hot flushes per day - hope it doesn't get any worse than that! Soy isoflavones with black cohosh is what I took before, and also extract of sage, from a very good supplements supplier based in the Channel Islands - they use the purest and most natural ingredients they can, and we have always found them very good. They do brilliant face creams too!

You have my sympathies, I'm struggling against tiredness, might be the statins so I'm changing my diet. It will be interesting to see how we both progress.
Best of luck
