Last Friday I showed you a card that I foiled over a foiled image. This card was my first attempt that failed but I then tried something different.

My first attempt at foiling over foiling is under the 2 butterflies. A total failure on both. So I foiled the butterflies on separate pieces of card stock and the top one didn't turn out. Seems I need to shim these when I run them through my Platinum. So, I refoiled over them using gold foil. The bottom one turned out wonderful but the top one... well, the gold is rubbing off and letting a lot more of the under foil show. But really, that is pretty cool! The butterflies are from Spellbinders Glimmering Butterflies set and the sentiment is from their More Sentiments set.
Here's a close up of them before putting them on the card. I offset the foiling just a hint on purpose.
Here's an even closer look. I LOVE this! I then popped them over the oops ones.
I have to admit I'm in love also with Spellbinders new Best Ever Craft
Tape. I'm using the daylights out of it with all this foiling!
I think I now have the hang of foiling over foil! Next lesson... pre-coloring before foiling!
