A Desk and More Flamingos

It's another Wednesday! Hump Day. Whatever. Hubby has been gone for a week working in another state. He says things are going well and he's getting lots done.  The guys he's working for have provided an apartment and car so he can leave his big work truck in their shop to keep it safe and the tools warm.  It's difficult to work with cold tools.

Anyway, today is desk day!  It's week 607 and my desk is empty as I am getting ready to do my weekly video.  I didn't do it last week as we were busy getting things done and ready for him to head out.  And this desk view is linked up with Julia at the Stamping Ground and joining many others.

So, my empty desk... (picture taken late yesterday)...

I have a small pile to the left that consists of a stamp set I recently purchased along with a slimline die set and die cuts under it.  On my glass mat to the right is the card ready to show on my video at 10 am AZ (or MST) time.   I see my stamp cleaning rag is sitting on my Platinum platform where it doesn't belong.

And I'm starting to get ready to head out in 2 weeks for the Fabulous Flocking Flamingos Scrapbook Retreat in the Phoenix area.  We have a list of do's and don'ts as to the virus and they are pretty much the same as last year. There's about 9 of us from the Tucson area and I've gotten some goodies to share.

I got 9 pair of flamingo socks, some pink tubs and made some flamingo cards to hand out.  The glasses are for me and the flamingo will sit on my desk.  I'm planning on going to a party store Saturday and see if there is anything else in this theme.  I'm not into really decorating my desk as I'm there to create and be with my friends that I haven't seen in 6 - 12 months (and a couple more than that).  And I'm going to celebrate my birthday while I'm there!  So, I won't be sharing my desk on Feb. 3.

So I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the desks.  So, see you around the web!

I am sure you are going to enjoy that flamingo retreat. My daughter has flamingo thing going on with her colleagues at school. Flamingo Friday. It means we are continually on the lookout for flamingo stuff.
Stay safe and keep well.

Hi Carol. Fantastic flamingo items - well found! Such a tidy desk, but I spotted that lovely slimline stamp - I also have it. It's a beauty. Trust this week's video goes well. Enjoy preparing or your trip.
Take care. God bless.

Happy WOYWW. How wonderful to be able to go to a retreat (and in fact out shopping!). We are in full Lockdown in Wales - stay at home unless absolutely necessary. Supermarkets and pharmacies are open, plus a few other 'essential' businesses. There are some craft events being planned for later in the year, but I am not booking on anything until nearer the time, and we are all vaccinated. I am very nervous about getting ill and happy to stay home. Look forward to hearing more about it - and Happy Birthday for next month (I am 50 on the 13th!). Ali x #26

Here in the UK we're in Lockdown and our usual craft club can't open but it's understandable as it's difficult to keep your distance and as they know now you can pass the virus on without even knowing you have it but I hope you are able to meet your friends for the retreat. I'm sure they will love the gifts. We are so lucky to have such interests and great friends to share it with. Take care and have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x14x
