Joy, Hope, and Wonder

It has been ages since I took part in a Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch challenge. But yesterday I was needed to make a card for today's post and decided to check out their blog sketch.  Love it!! And I knew immediately what I wanted to do.  (I love it when that happens!)

This is their sketch # 583.

And this is my card.

I am almost out of the cool mountain/snowflake paper that I got at The Paper Collage near Phoenix. I have no affiliation with Pamela and her store other than liking to spend my money with her.  She is a wonderful lady and her store is amazing! I did change the layout in that I cut my mountain peaks as I just couldn't cut off the peaks in a straight line! And the striped edge is supposed to be the northern lights.

I sprayed my card base with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Sparkle Spray. And boy does it sparkle!  I kinda got it to show up in my photo but on the card, WOW! Sadly, Scrapbook.com only carries the Rose Gold spray.  I outlined the word Wonder using my Stardust Clear Gel pen.

I used my large Dauber Dowel and added some Lovely Blue ink to the white oval under the bear. After I popped the bear I decided to add some Pool Play ink using my Blending Brush to apply. It's hard to see but the bear appears to be sitting on the bluish ice. To finish the card I added the 3 white gems.

I love it when what you see in your mind actually turns out pretty good! And it is a great sketch! Head on over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and check out what they have!

This is such a pretty card. Love all the shades of blue. The mountain peak paper is so wonderful. I'd hate to use the last bit in my stash, also. Although, I mentioned that on one of my blog posts referencing another patterned paper that I loved, and a friend who had some surprised me with it. So you never know. Thanks for using the Tuesday Morning Sketch for your card and sharing it with us. Debi TMS DT
