it's a Cooler Wednesday

We've been finally getting a break in the heat and yesterday got a break in the smoke. This past weekend to yesterday I was struggling with allergies but it seemed they broke yesterday afternoon and my nose finally quit doing its Rudolph impersonation. Anyway, I did manage to remember to take a picture of my desk yesterday while I was working on a Center Panel card (or Center Step, whatever) to show on video mid morning. I hope you check out all the links at Julia's Stamping Ground.  This is week 589. I was unable to link up but Julia added me in to the group.

There is a new pack of 6 x 6 paper on the far left next to an oval die set that I did not end up using. Center is some fun Christmas coffee embellishments and my card just to the right of that.  There's some left over scraps of paper on the white part of my glass mat.  My desk didn't look like this for long. It got straightened up, stuff got put away, and I then cleaned out a small 3 drawer paper holder of paperwork of card classes, old tutorials no longer wanted, etc.  I now have 1 emptied and a full trash bag. Now I need to decide if I want to keep that little drawer thing or get rid of it. I still have 2 more drawer sets and only 1 is pretty full.

I did get some news yesterday, I am officially a distributor for Spellbinders! Me and a bunch of others were given this option since we were demonstrators for Fun Stampers Journey when it was a multi level marketing program.  That ended 2 years ago and we were then part of their Creative Co-op.  I got a nice discount based on sales but this year my sales dropped 75%.  Spellbinders recently decided to change their marketing and kinda make FSJ more like Jane Davenport and offered those of us still kinda in the company this option.  I got my Employer Id Number, filled out a Resale certificate, and, with my TPT (business/tax license which I've had since FSJ closed), applied. Yesterday I was accepted.  I've already been working this as a business so very little should change except I'll get about 6 months advance notice on upcoming products! And I have no minimum purchases! The shipping is almost double but it is all tax deductible.  I'm mostly in this for the dozen customers I have locally. And I am still an affiliate for those who want to order through my links.

Ok, sorry this is so long.  I'm excited yet almost apprehensive. I hope you head over to Julia's and check out the other desks!

I’ve linked you over at my blog, a Carol, no idea why you can’t do it, just when I thought that all was good after last week!! Great news about spellbinders, they’d have been pretty foolish to turn you down I think! Love those a Christmas coffees...you call them embellishments..did you make or buy them?

Hi Carol, well done that sounds really interesting with Spellbinders. I used to buy loads of their dies but recently there doesn't seem to be so many about at the shows, might be that so many more companies sell them though of course I haven't been to any shows this year...sadly! Sending you a happy woyww hugs, Angela x16x

Hi Carol. Well, congratulations. All the very best! Glad your temperatures have dropped somewhat so your allergic reactions have subsided - it is just a little early to appear as Rudolph, isn't it?! I can't believe my eyes as I look at your picture today, and see what you describe as a paper pad! Seems like a paper mountain to me... hope you enjoy using it all.
Take care. God bless.

That's great news about Spellbinder Carol, hope all goes well with the business! I would empty that little drawer unit but put it out of sight somewhere. If you still don't miss it after a couple of months, then get rid of it! Glad the heat has abated and your allergies too!

Congratulations on the Spellbinders business!
I have some of the Fun Stampers Journey stuff in my stash - but I had to have them sent over by a friend as they didn't do international deliveries.
Love your busy desk!

I love 6x6 paper pads. Not only for the small size but the smaller scale of the prints. Sometimes that is just what you need. Good on you for the Spellbinders news. Shame shipping to the UK would be crazy expensive. Good luck - and even so the discount is well worth it, right?
