Christmas Coffee on the Center Step

I haven't made this style of card in ages!  Almost not since I taught it in a class in 2016! It isn't hard but it took me 2 tries to make my base!  That's what happens when you're not paying attention to what you're doing and watching a movie!

This is called a Center Step Card. I wanted to use Spellbinders/ Fun Stampers Journey's new Holly Jolly Print 6x6 paper as I bought 2 packs it's so gorgeous!  Double sided with a luscious sheen on both sides!! I tried to match the colors from the prints to my solid card stocks and it wasn't easy.  I could have gone 2 ways with the base.

Side view.

And a close up of the cup. Isn't this cool!

I also have a video of the making of this card. Check it out but clicking on my YouTube link and look for Sept. 16, 2020 video.

I have a template you can follow. I gave this out when I had my class.

I taught how to do this on a paper trimmer. You'd be surprised what all that tool can do! If you have a Fun Stampers Journey paper trimmer and need blades get them from Tonic. The blue ones for the Tonic Super Trimmer fit fine! In fact, FSJ's paper trimmer is made by Tonic! Where they were getting the blades before is not planning on making any for a while.
