My Desk on a HOT Day

It has been a hot hot week. Mount Lemmon next to Tucson, AZ, is on fire from a lightening strike last week. Lots of mountainside charred and homes in danger. Yesterday was the official start of the monsoon yet not a rain cloud in sight nor is there to be for a couple weeks.

Meanwhile, I've been busy at my desk. I did take a few days away over this past weekend but yesterday I was getting things ready for this morning's video plus making a card. I took a picture of my desk yesterday in the middle of my mess and, through the graces of Julia at the Stamping Ground, you get the opportunity to see mine and oodles others!

Hmmm.. what have I here? Far left a stamp set of which I'm using my Happy Father's Day stamp. That weird white piece had some stuff die cut out of it. Middle, my Misti in use.  Above it are pieces I've prepped for today's card. And far right, another piece of white that I die cut pieces out of. The card I finished is up by the ink pads, a green frog card.

Here's part of that card.  I'll be posting it on Friday.

So that's it for today. Now to finish prepping for my video and start on 12 kits of 4 cards for my class next week! That'll keep me busy for a few days.

I think I'm getting the hang of this new blogger. Been interesting figuring out some of the icons to help me share.

Hi Carol. A fun card there on your desk. Hope the video goes well. Trust the firemen get that mountain fire under control soon, and that you have some rain.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I find the new Blogger ok too but I've only used it on the PC not my ipad. The weather has been odd here in Wales too, we had grass fires locally a week ago as the previous two months had been bone dry however it's all changed over the weekend and we've got thunderstorms and rain for the next few days. Love the froggy, he made me smile!!

I don't mind some aspects of the new blogger Carol (stats / comments), but actually creating and sharing a post takes me for ever in comparison with the old one. I shall switch back for composing and posting and to the new one for everything else. Love the frog, he's so cute. Say safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #8

Hi Carol! Your desk looks very productive. I like the frog card in the middle. I have been back to making my cards again and really enjoying it. Although some new coloring books arrived to stir up things so I may have to play with them for a while. Ahh the decisions of a crafter right? Stay well.

Hi Carol, that frog card is so cute. Busy desk too. I've tried the new blogger and that's enough. I went to the blogger forum and I'm not the only one that thinks it's a poor substitute. Apparently they are still planning to add to it as they now it's not been perfected yet. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x20x

Hi Carol, we had the heaviest downpour of rain yesterday that I've ever seen! LOve the frog card, how cute. Not really had any issues with the new Blogger, apart from a font size, otherwise haven't really seen any changes. Stay safe, have a good week, Hugs, Shaz #16 X

A nice busy desk and a really fun froggie card, Carol. The mountain fire sounds really scary and I hope it was put out OK. I'm glad you are managing the new Blogger OK - a lot of people seem to be struggling with it, and it makes me all the more glad that I finally abandoned the wretched platform over a year ago and moved over to Wordpress. I was having awful problems with it and they managed to delete 8 years' worth of photos off my blog at a single stroke, and the editor was always utter cr*p in my opinion. I used an offline 3rd party editor which suddenly became incompatible when Blogger changed something, and that was the final straw. In these days of modern technology you'd think someone at Google would have a clue how to make the thing work properly!!!

Sorry for the late visit. Time has completely run away with me this week.
Happy belated WOYWW,
