Workdesk Wednesday Again!

Things are changing here. We actually dined in our favorite deli Monday morning! There was about 25% of the tables in the restaurant and 2 chairs to each table (except we snagged the only table with 4 chairs). Was so good to see our favorite waitress!  (Actually our favorite retired and now Sheila is our favorite.)

Anyway, today is Deskers Wednesday. I have joined up with a few dozen other brave souls willing to share their work area and we link up to our head desker, Julia of the Stamping Ground

I took this picture yesterday as I prepped to do my FB Live video later this morning.  I'll be showing how to use more strips of paper to make a sunburst background. You can see some of the strips on the white area of my glass mat.  In the middle I'm coloring the focal point of the card and my colored pencils are on the left. Not real exciting. To do my videos I cover my glass mat with a large sheet of white paper as the glass is horribly reflective of the lights. Most all my videos end up on my YouTube channel.  I've also been putting together card kits for my end of May class. This will be my last video class as we'll be meeting in person in June.

Yesterday I went into Tucson and got a new battery for my phone.  Was so nice to go somewhere other than the grocery store, hardware store, or drive throughs.

I hope you're having a good week. We have been very healthy and busy. I'm pretty much done with the deep cleaning at church and tomorrow I go back to my regular routine as we start to meet inside!! But I will say the kitchen cabinets look wonderful!

I will be finding out later what the arrangements are to have one of our year groups back in school from 1st June. I hope things aren't moving too fast as I don't want to see a second wave of infections. I do love a box of coloured pencils Carol - never boring. Good luck sorting your class kits. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #11

Hi Carol. Hope all is going well with your video. Goodness - a meal out! How lovely. Here in Wales nothing has been lifted - our laws and regulations are different from those in England. There are even thoughts that churches won't be opening up until probably next year! However, I enjoy our worship time on YouTube each week, and one of our elders posts a short 15 minute sermon most weeks.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hi Carol, I totally agree about the craft mat! Really wish I'd not bothered now. The reflections either from the window, or my overhead lights makes taking step by step photos a nightmare. Have a lovely week, Stay safe, Hugs, Shaz#10 X

We are still in lockdown here in Wales - I'm glad you're able to get out a bit more but hope you still keep safe. Well done on all the online tutorials etc you've been part of, it will be lovely to see people face to face in June!

The idea of going out to eat sounds good but scary. Although they are trying to start people going back to work in the UK they are not opening any social stuff. I have just ordered the Tim glass mat but I know the problem with the reflection as I've already got a small one and just find it really difficult taking photographs but have plastic one that I place on top of it. Wishing you a lovely crafty woyww. Stay safe, Angela x16x
