My Wednesday Desk - WOYWW 569

Helllllooooo Wednesday! And today is a HOT one!  We're hitting 100*F and I'm staying inside from noon on. We do have breakfast and lunch on the patio but I'm not out long for lunch. Along with the heat I get hot flashes. Bummer.

But today is the day I share my desk in whatever shape it is in when I decide to take its picture yesterday.   Yes, I take my picture a day early as this weekly blog hop starts in England!  Our head desker, Julia of the Stamping Ground, and the majority of deskers, live there! I think I'm one of the farthest away at this time. So, compared to me, they start REAL early!

So, my desk yesterday... On the far right the brown thing is a new to me die that I got 2 months ago from Spellbinders of an album designed by Becca Feeken! I have to watch a video now as I have no idea how it goes together!  On my black glass mat I am prepping a card to photo plus under the right side is a card I just finished and will post Friday.  Other than that nothing new really.

I do want to share this photo of something I made a week ago.  I seen something similar on Pinterest and I bought the Christmas ornaments right after Christmas!

I really needed another ornament at the top but I used all that I had.  As it was I had trouble connecting my wire coat hanger at the top! Maybe I'll add a large white bow. What are your suggestions?

Now please head over to Julia's blog and check out more desks!

Hi Carol. That wreath is stunning - I personally would put silver with the blue, but that's just my preference. I'm assuming you take a wire coat hanger, open it up, add the baubles, then put it back together again? The idea is beautiful. Well made. It takes an incredible number of the baubles, though!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I think you are probably the furthest west, the others are just as far away in Australia to the east! We WOYWWers are a far flung lot! I get hot flashes too but at least I'm not in 100F heat, I'd wilt away. I much prefer the cooler northern climes. Good luck with all your crafting this week!

Hello! Where are you from? I am from the east coast of the United States and I often prep my post ahead of time for the same reason. Although today other things got in the way so I am late. I love the Bee happy card. The daisies are pretty. I wish I could borrow 20 degrees from you. Our high today is 53. So we could use some heat. 100 is too much any time of the year in my opinion. Stay well.

Hi Carol, i'm not too sure where in the world you are but I always check back to see posts from people that get to add their desks later than me, sometimes days go by where i'm still catching up..
I'm always forgetting how things work when I don't play with them asap your not on your own there, thankfully there's usually a tutorial to be found.
Great idea making the bauble wreath, it indeed would look fabulous with a big bow. Thanks for sharing WoyWW Tracey #14

Hello Carol. I am from Denmark and it is very cold at the moment here. We "use" to have a warm springtime, but it seems to the weather decided to do differently lately ;) - It is nice to see what is on your desk and hear your story. Thank you ever so much for sharing.

Kind regards

Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too, especially in these troubled times, may we look up in faith, not at the mud underneath ! Praying you’re all kept well too!

Lovely wreath, Carol, and I'm with the others saying it should be silver or glittery silver for the bow! Sorry to hear you are suffering from hot flushes, especially in that awful heat. I had terrible ones but no longer, thank goodness. I took soya and sage supplements and although they took a while to kick in and work, I think they really did help.

It's lovely that us WOYWW-ers come from all 4 corners of the world! I am in the beautiful south west of England and we have the sea really nearby (although not quite visible from our house) and also really beautiful countryside within easy reach.

Happy belated WOYWW,
