It's Wednesday's Desk Again

Today you again get the opportunity to see my desk and others (if you desire).  But I usually take my photo of my desk Tuesday afternoons as I have better light.  This is week 568 according to Julia, our head desker at the Stamping Ground.  And I have also a blast from the past project to show that I found while cleaning.

But first my desk:

I have just finished die cutting and assembling the die cuts I plan on using for a "reverse easel" card that I'll be making on my FaceBook page's Live video.  I have not assembled this card but have it kinda laid out and ready to be assembled on the video.

Here's a close up of some of the die cuts.  It took FOREVER to made what I did.  I decided it's not for those in a hurry!

And my blast from the past...

I made this quite a few years ago, maybe 6??  As you can see here it is a drawer, matchbox style.

But it's also an easel!  I think this is from a class I taught at the local scrapbook store a while before it closed. (It closed about 5 years ago).  I used my old Cricut to cut the fish.

Now you're at the end of my post. Please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other links!

Cute projects Carol, but I can see that the die cutting must have taken a while from the amount of different colours and card you have used. I often cheat and use white card which I colour afterwards lol. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

Oh that close up really shows all the detail elements. It looks so cute. I love easel cards I need to make some. Isn't it fun to look back at old projects? Stay well.

Hi Carol. Oh my word - the detail you have put on those projects! Incredible. Well done. I admit to love making easel cards - but have found that the recipient doesn't always know what to do with it!!, and how to stand it up.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

I have a couple of those dies with all the little bits - the results are fab but it all takes sooooo loooong, so I totally get what you mean about not being in a hurry!! I love the matchbox easel card -lovely colours! All this tidying I am finding all sorts - it's good to have the time to potter. Stay well, stay safe, Happy WOYWW Cindy #18

Fascinating projects, Carol. I agree with Sarah about cutting everything in white and then colouring it! When I do my flower factories, this is what I do - whole 12 x 12 sheets of flower pieces in white, and then out come the inks. Your layered piece certainly has a lot of different parts. I love your blast from the past project - fascinating! I am not sure what a reverse easel is but I hope you will show us once it’s complete. Thank you for visiting, and I’m glad you liked my little drawings and things, and seeing our fun umbrella. Whatever I do, though, those kitties will always steal the show! You can understand why I’m always clicking away, photographing them!

Happy belated WOYWW,

Wow CarolI was drawn to enlarge the desk shot because of that lovely yellow gingham paper, but all the die cutting and those teeny detail pieces made me swoon! I’m so lazy about these fiddly bits. The draft looks super, but good grief, the time! I would do it in a class but probably not otherwise, I’m too lazy! Mind you, even back in the day you were making things that took a while! That matchbox easel is amazing, what a great idea, are you going to make some ‘updates’?

Oh Carol I bet it takes great concentration when putting those tiny tiny die cuts together, i'd be sure to lose a couple along the way. Looks very sweet though and I love your match box easel, would be nice for a piece of jewellery if giving as a gift. Wishing you a super safe week take care Tracey #3
