Wednesday is Here Again!

Yep, it's Wednesday! I actually think I had a bit more time between last Wednesday and today.  Maybe because I got so much accomplished???  Who knows! But you know that today is What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday and I, along with quite a few others, are brave enough to show you what our desks look like.  And this tour d'desks is put together by our head desker, Julia of the Stamping Ground.  This is week 562.

Yesterday late afternoon (time of photo) I was working on a card for one of the stamp groups I belong to in Tucson, AZ.  We were given some feathers as the mystery item and I was trying to come up with something original.  Well, my brain quit and I ended up on Pinterest and looked at some sketches I pinned. You can see the card right in the middle front of my glass mat. The rest, Dew Drop inks, roll of foam tape, some oval dies, the stamp set from Art Impressions, my ATG adhesive runner, lamps, whatever are all there.  I'll be sharing this card tomorrow as a regular post.  Anyway, that's it.  But last Satuarday, me and 3 friends, went to Mesa, AZ for the "Spring Fling" by Rubber Stamp Events.  I did spend a "few" dollars.

These are all products I plan on using in future classes.  The cool heartbeat coffee die is by Divinity Designs. I did get more like Stardust Clear Gel pens, Clear Wink of Stella, and another D.D. stamp set.

I have been working hard in our yard and we removed an unproductive dwarf orange tree (1 or 2 oranges in 7 years) and an 8' tall prickly pear cactus (was overgrown and I was tired of it).

In the first picture on the far right next to my wagon wheel is where the cactus was.  It was easily as tall as our awning. Now I have some "dead" solar lights that I still like. The orange tree was between the little bush and the tall metal sunflower. Now there is a Salvia that will grow into a bush for the hummingbirds. In the 2nd picture is my raised garden with a sunshade.  I have some beans and bush peas to plant.  I have an old political sign on the end as a windbreak. It works great and fits in the spot!

I've also been to Tucson to visit a friend in a rehap center.  She's one of my customers and attends my classes. She's 80. Hopefully she'll be home later this week and a friend and I will go help her get her apartment in an assisted living center put together.

So, that's why this week seemed longer to me. I still worked my 2 days, too!  So, please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the links to more!  And have a blessed day!

Hi Carol. You certainly had fun at the show - looking forward to seeing the results... The garden is looking good, too. I haven't been out in mine yet this year - it has been far too wet and windy - really miserable.
Take care. God bless.

Hi Carol. You're so lucky to be able to get out in your garden, we have so much to do but the weather is not good enough to start it yet. Loving the new goodies and hope your friend gets home okay, it's very kind of you to help her settle in. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x2x

WOW! You have been busy with card making and all the yard works. We jhad to clear out some prickly pears last year...just too many and too big...we live in OK so they don't get nearly as tall here. Have a great week. Vickie #26

Hi Carol, crafting, shopping, gardening, visiting and working - wow, you packed a lot into a week! I keep looking at my garden, spring is arriving but every weekend it seems to rain, and I work during the week. It desperately needs a tidy. I bought a bag of feathers when I first started crafting, about 4 or 5 years ago, as I needed one for a card- I haven't used them since! I really should have a clear out, or make a lot of cards with feathers! Lol. Have a lovely week Heather xx #21
