A Quiet Wednesday

Well, I've been staying home (at least until tomorrow when I need to go for parts for hubby) and getting lots done.  I've gotten my summer clothes out, winter ones put away, and pulled a box full for the thrift store (when it opens). I've gone through a pile of paperwork and got some for the burn barrel, some filed, some that needed attended to, and the pile vastly diminished. And I've been working on projects on my workdesk in preparation for doing my Friday class on my stamping FaceBook page for my ladies who have the kits, a first! I've also organized some stuff in my craft room which you'll see below.  But my desk is brought to you by Queen Julia of the Stamping Ground!  She keeps a bunch of us organized as we bring you our uncensored desks via her blog.  (This sounds like I've been watching too much TV - oh wait!  I have!)

I stepped back a couple paces to give you a full view of my desk and one shelf of the 2 above it.  I had just cleaned it off yesterday and organized the class kits that I'll share on my Live video Friday. That stuff is to the left in a clear plastic box along with some small stamp packages. The only place I need to clean is between my glass mat and my ink rack.  Maybe later today, who knows.

These are the 2 totes I have.  I just got the one on the left last Friday at Michaels in Tucson, AZ.  It was normally priced at $100 but I got it for $40.  Got hubby a black one for his shop. The bottom shelf is my stamps and dies for sale.  I've been adding to this shelf and will add more soon.  The top shelf is stuff that was on my computer desk.  Oh am I happy to get that stuff out of my way! The little blue thing on the left of the top shelf holds my TV remote and the pink thing holds some bottles of hand cream, hand sanitizer, a small cup of paper clips and rubber bands, and other odds and ends. I still have a cup of pens on my desk.  The tote on the right was purchased on HSN a couple years ago and it is loaded with coloring mediums, adhesives, and oodles of stuff in the blue apron.

I did work on some small Hershey Kiss treats for Easter for the grand and great grand kids. I'll share those pictures on Friday.

So please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the links to the other desks. I hope you are staying healthy!

Glad you have managed to find a safe way to continue with your workshops Carol. Love your trolleys. I have two of the larger and one of the smaller near/under my desk. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #10

Hi Carol. I am greatly impressed by7 that neat desk. I didn't show mine this week, as there is simply nothing on it - , but yours looks really interesting. Well done. Hope the class goes well on Friday. You say you have put your winter clothes away - goodness. I wouldn't dare yet - there is snow forecast for the weekend!
Take care of yourself. Stay safe. God bless.

Wow, we Deskers are going to be so organised and tidy by the end of this crisis! Well done for having such a good sort out, I love doing that as well. Hope you're keeping safe and well.
Hugs LLJ 2 xx

I smiled at Jan's comment... no time here for tidying and cleaning, as I am working from home on the day job and certainly don't fancy doing much after I "clock off".... maybe when we've been going a bit longer! Helen #5

Sounds like you're managing to keep busy which is good. The trolleys are so useful and a great way to store the things we use regularly. Not sure I'll ever be tidy until I get all that stuff out of the loft and into the cabin but I'm working on it. Take care, keep safe and craft on. Sending hugs, Angela x3x

Great shot of your work area and carts. I’ve been working on finishing up unfinished projects and it’s been nice. I’m working remotely from home but there’s only so much I can do without my files and all the equipment. But I do have the option to go into work if/when needed. Take care of yourself and safe. Like your rolling carts, I have one of the big ones, bought for all the stuff I need at the side of my bed before we had the bedroom refurbished. So now you would think it ended up in y craft room - No - no room in there so it ended in the bathroom with towels rolled up in it and it was the perfect colour to match the feature wall.
Glad you can do an online class, was thinking of doing just that for my little club but still to work out how to do it. Hope it goes well for you.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

Well I am very impressed with your totes all stacked ready for use. I got one from Ikea many years ago and it is so useful. Sounds like you have been using your time very productively,Stay safe and keep crafting.

I always hold true to Mum's old family motto of "Ne'er cast a clout, till May is out" and don't swap from winter to summer clothes until May! I've made the mistake too often, of washing all my winter woollies and packing them away for the summer, only for there to be an immediate cold snap! I am glad that you've got so much going on online - what would we all have done in this situation if we hadn't got the online contact that we all enjoy? The lockdown hasn't affected me too much because I'm virtually housebound anyway and have everything I want and enjoy all around me. It's great having the bonus of my hubby being around all the time as well, instead of him gadding about here there and everywhere as he usually does! He is very helpful in popping out for any food shopping if I can't get it delivered.

Keep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,

You'd have thought Summer had arrived early here until yesterday when the sun still can out to play but so did the wind biting cold & fierce. Don't forget to leave a cardigan or two out.. for those just in case days.
You've been so busy with your prep and cleaning, I just seem to have done jobs for those that can't get to do them themselves along with extra cooking..
Take care & Happy WoywW Tracey #19
