My Empty Workdesk and a Cowboy

I've had no time to play at my workdesk due to family health issues and trips to the hospital but I will show what my desk looked like yesterday along with a card I made last Saturday.  Mostly my desk has Valentine stuff that needs to be mailed (hopefully Thursday or Friday).

So so empty.  Stuff to mail and a couple projects made last Saturday are on the far left. I found a favorite wood mounted stamp from almost 20 years ago the other day and just HAD to make a card with it.

The rubber on this Cowboy Coffee stamp by Everlasting Designs, Inc. is getting quite hard and some areas didn't stamp very good (ears, bottom & handle of coffee cup) but I think that gave a more vintage look.  The corner punch by Carls is very old, too. But how do you like that cool background paper!! I don't know where I got that but it has a bit of a cork look to it with orange and shiny spots in it. Isn't it cool!

So, if you made it this far in my post please head over to the Stamping Ground and check all the great links to others who are willing to share pictures of their desks and projects they made!  I will be doing that as soon as I get back from work (rescheduled due to the family issues and dad is doing better).

What a great stamp, loving the cowboy coffee image. Don't worry if you're busy with other stuff your desk will still be there when you return to it. Wishing you a happy woyww, Angela x12x

Hi Carol, great card. I have one of those corner punches, called 'southwest' punches, I believe. Hope the health issues are nothing serious. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

Oh I hate to think that you’re under some stress, I really hope the family is all ok or on the way to being so. What a great find the old stamp is, it looks fab, the rubber hardness is a shame but unavoidable, huh. Still looks great though, bet you were really pleased with the image.

Beautiful stamp and I’m excited to see that corner punch and how it holds string. I have the same one and never realized that it can do that! Thanks. Dorlene #25
