Busy Desk!

Yesterday I got back on Splitcoast Stampers after a couple years away.  I can't believe I was gone that long!!!  And the first thing I seen was a color challenge. So today you get to see what my desk looked like while I was working with the components of the card AND you get to see the card!  This view, and the links to many others, a brought together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.

I had my colors cut and die cut for the card base.  Here I was working on choosing the embossing folder I wanted and I have the stamp set out along with dies.  I had to use a brown, a pale yellow, and a light blue.  The challenge gal gave SU! colors so I choose what I had that was the closest.

One of the sample cards for the challenge had a cool tropic design and I had to do the same when I found the pineapple in my stash.

I even had some fun sequins that I thought would work for this card. I'm thinking this may be a fun card for one of our granddaughters in California.

Please head over to the Stamping Ground now.  I'll be a bit late as I have to take my car in for a tire rotation and a bit of shopping.

Split coast boards moves so fast these days, I tend to browse the galleries, it’s a marvellous site isn’t it. Love the pineapple and sentiment, I agree, it’s a great, fun card.

Wow, the card is gorgoeus, and I love the pineapple motif - you've certainly used to the colours beautifully,it sounded quite a tricky colour palette to me.
Hope you have a lovely week,
