Work Desk and Halloween Project

Well, it's Wednesday. That special mid-week day that so many celebrate with camels, phrases, etc. but me, along with a few others, celebrate with a view of our desks!  Or other area where we work, play,  or live.  This view is linked with these others at the Stamping Ground and our head desker Julia.

So, I actually got to play at my desk this week.  I finished my 4th sample card for my Oct. class (yesterday's post) and was in the middle of prepping for today's FB Live video (which will get changed into MP4 format and uploaded to YouTube).  I'm making a twisted gatefold card which was demo'ed at our stamp club last Saturday.  And I will be mailing my card today or tomorrow to my once a month swap partner through Midwest Stampers (I've been a member for 12 years or so).

Here's my desk yesterday afternoon just before I shut down for the day.  On the far left is a piece of card stock sitting on some card kits I need to finish for myself. That round thing is a roll of white liner tape, like Scor-Tape.  Then you see an oval die set and my black card base with layers to be added and a die cut face of Frankenstein. Middle is my paper trimmer with a pack of card stock then my Platinum 6 far right. My tan embossing mat is above my pale purple paper and it was put away right after I took my picture. Up by my ink rack is some GKW (actually I know most of it), my Spellbinder magnet, a cup of Picket Fence Studio brushes, my large cup of often used tools, and my ATG adhesive roller sitting on its black holder.

I'm not real big on Halloween and cards but I do make them for family so I will need 9.  I think I have that many in my stock left over from last year.  This Saturday our Paper Crafters group gets together and we're having our bi-annual craft sale so I will be getting my small table out of storage and making some pricing posters for the stamps & dies I have for sale.  I hope to get rid of bunches!

You have now reached the end of my post.  Please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out more desks!

Have a wonderful Day and

Stampin Carol

Hi Carol. A busy desk this morning. Lots going on for you - hope you get it all done and finished. I just love your comment at the end - your "and finally" - brilliant.
Take care. God bless.

Lol to the Poster at the end - I have to say that my hubby is fantastic and would probably say all those things!!! He's a keeper :-). The twisted gatefold card sounds very complicated, you'll have to show us what oneof those looks like next week.

You always have so much going on! I'd never think of sending Halloween cards; don't think that's really a thing here (that I've noticed) Have a great week Helen #1

Hi Carol, busy as ever. I love making Halloween cards but we don't seem to celebrate it so much. I went to a garden centre today and they seem to have decided there is nothing now until Christmas and had filled the place with Christmas stuff which seems a bit early to me. I like the poster but I can't imagine my hubby saying those things though he is putting up my new studio in the garden, now that might tell you something too. Hope you have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x15x

Your so organise Carol knowing exactly what's happening on your desk and where things go, even putting things away after taking the photo. I don't think I will ever be that organised. I don't think I have ever made a Halloween card to send but I have made ATC's and Postcards for swaps a few years ago.

Love the sayings. I work with a group of guys and I am coaching them on how to fawn over my crafting projects so that I feel good about myself. LOL They are not learning very quickly.

I NEED that poster..am pretty sure I will never get him to utter the last phrase, but I keep working on it!! What a laugh. It also made me smile to read that you dont really do Hallowe’en cards so you’ll only need NINE! I think I managed that many Christmas cards last year! Good luck with the Flea Market, such a good idea.

Hi Carol, very late, you sound very organised even knowing what is in the GKW this week, or last week! I don’t do Halloween at all so def don’t need any number, but handy to have cards in stash ready to go .. loved your funny .. very unlikely but still 😆
Thanks for Sharing, God bless, hugs Shaz in Oz.x
