A Lot of Santas and a Desk

I think I procrastinated a bit but I have 30, yes 30!!! Christmas tags to make!  And not only that, today is the day you get to see my desk, courtesy of Julia at the Stamping Ground!! This is week 543.

This is my desk yesterday mid afternoon.  My Scan N Cut is busy cutting the red tags. I cut 32 even though I only needed 30 but a couple extra will get used.  On my glass mat is a sheet of red card stock that will get used, a box of Santas, and 1 on the mat to determine what size I wanted.

And now for what I have done so far... and I have a LONG ways to go, hopefully I'll be done Friday as Thursday I will be at our church all day helping prepare for our BLAST, a Halloween alternative with kids games, LOTS of candy, hot dots, pop corn, and cotton candy.  I will be working on registration when we open at 5:30 pm.

Anyway, here are my Santas.  I have yet to cut and glue on the eyes so they are a bit creepy.  The beards are silver glitter paper and the "fur" on the hats are made from white glitter paper.

I hope you head over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other deskers involved in this weekly blog hop of desks!  And, if you're so inclined, please leave a comment for me of what you think of my desk and project!

Hi Carol! I had to blink because my desktop has red cardstock on it and I am using my Silhouette to cut out Christmas wreaths. Great minds think alike. I love your santas. It's work to assemble but thank goodness for cutting machines to do all that cutting! Have a blessed day my friend!

Wishing you a very happy WOYWW for yesterday. Great little Santa faces, but what really caught my eye was the way your scan n cut mat can go back under your shelf. I have mine side on and it is always a kerfuffle when the mat goes back and I have to keep shifting things. Food for thought this mornng x

been thinking of you, Carol. Doctoring here has taken time between Dad's graduation from this earth July 24 and Celebration of Life Aug 6 for more than a handful VA medical appointments coming together between those two events. Dad was in Rpx nursing home dying and Terry was in St.V's with ER work toward what Sept. 23 would be implant Pacemaker/Difibulater which resulted in 70% effective where docs would like 90 - 95%. Surgery ablation was scheduled Oct 31, but infection set in around the insert pouch. Rescheduled ablation is Nov 14. This takes some prayer adjustment for how we had been taught life being tied to heartbeating could be determined. Now we have had to adjust papers to read brain activity so dad's lawyer has been working for us in his wild work path over eight counties these past four weeks. Driving over a hundred miles to meet him in parking lots or his office has dotted several days! Snow too. ADD us to your prayer list. If ablation is not effective, cutting nerves misfiring inside the heart will be next 'help'. Installing a watchman is VA's PA' preferred means of controlling possible bloodclots and is in the lineup of surgeries on behalf of VA by civilian specialists in Billings as contracted through both Billings hospitals. Warfain and Eloquis type products will no longer be needed....saving what is left of the kidney function to help Terry remain in the top end of the safe function zone. Thank you AgenT Orange. Thank you, Father for plans far beyond this juncture.
Your many and varied projects look so professional using cutter scanner and vibrant colors. You are having so much fun!
Our friend Olivia Zelada has been playing more with paper! She came for dad's funeral. She now lives at 8630 East Shiloh Street, Tuscon, with a retired pastor,in ill health, and his vibrant wife. They work to care for him and oversee his food intake, he is allergic to foods and foods can be harmful to his sensitive organs. They study Bible together and at the church family where they fellowship in Tuscon plus try foods friendly to them all or to the ladies or to the gent. Computer ideas help them have variety.
The lady likes papercrafting. I sent items to Olivia and she shares with the lady. Papercrafting interests the gals who occasionally enter in a farmer's market someplace relative to their neighborhood. They are crocheting towel tops for the next sale term/ sequence. Snowbird calendars must play a part in their activity. They are not snowbirds but some buyers must be. Olivia's track phone is 520-260-4275. You will love her enthusiasm. At 76 her love for Jesus bubbles with delight.
Terry is home from prayer breakfast so I must see what he has brought in from the mail for his Cpap/ Bi-pap humidifier. Boxes!
Keep Looking Up!

Being so excited seeing your tags, I must get ready to craft some here. Great colors and papers! Cutter provides such professional designs you may embellish 30 in a day or two among other obligations. Hope the exchange is quite the party! Post pics for us all to drool over ooooahhhhh! Thanks.
Keep Looking Up!

Hi Carol. I love those Santas. They will be great tags for gifts. Do trust your hallowe'en alternative went really well. So good to find places where the kids can go have a ball and not celebrate by going around to trick or treat.
Take care. God bless.
