Is It Wednesday Already?

What a week!  We started painting our master bathroom! Actually got a LOT done yesterday.  But today I usually show you my desk but I haven't been at it lately.  This post is part of a fun desk hopping blog tour put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground. But I'm gonna show you my bathroom.  No, it's not done. Today I have to do one more cut in coat of the blue (walls) and touch up some blue on the white ceiling!  Then later today I'll paint the baseboards.  Hopefully tomorrow we'll get the new taller toilet in and all the towel racks, curtain rod, and such then we're done! So today, here's what I did yesterday...

The ceiling is white with a satin finish.  Since this is the bathroom a satin finish will hold up better with the steam.  The walls are light blue with a satin finish.  We were able to remove 1 of the mirrors and discovered that white spot.  The original mirror was cracked when we moved in (this is a manufactured home) so the set up guys had to replace it.  It apparently was stuck to the wall and they pulled off the finish and probably some of the drywall.  Quick fix thinking we'll never see this???  The other mirror was stuck solid so we just taped it off. The 2nd picture shows the cutting in of  the blue in the corners and around the trim work. I won't be able to work on the bathroom tomorrow as I have an oil change for my car scheduled early, then work, then physical therapy (which is going good).

These pictures show the walls are painted but I have yet to paint up against the ceiling. I'm glad I went with a white ceiling as that's a lot of blue! But the more I'm in there the more I like it.  So much better than the beige (1st picture) the whole house is painted. Once we're done in here I'll paint the hall bath but only from the bottom of the cupboard down.  Hoping we can get the mirror off in there!

Last Saturday I went to Mesa, AZ for the fall Stamp & Scrapbook Expo.  I spent a little bit.

Far left more Picket Fence Studio type brushes.  A couple are BIG!  Love that.  Top is a fun Desert Gnomes stamp set (Christmas) by Scraps of Love,  a small reindeer die set (makes a little treat box) by Sizzix, a cactus embossing folder by Darice, and a very cool Cactus Edger die by Frantic Stamper Inc. I had my eye on the embossing folder when I was at the scrapbooking retreat last month but I procrastinated too long but was glad to find it for a good price! Now.... I need to find some time to play but I have to get 3 more cards made, 2 swap cards, made, and prep for my Friday the 27th class.  Ugh. And I still have to work and go the physical therapy twice a week!

Oh well.

Now please head over to the Stamping Ground and check out all the links to the desks and such! I'll be working my way around here and there, now and then.

Wow You've been busy. The bathroom is looking good! I love going to the STamp and scrapbooking Expo. You are much better than I because my purchasing pile is always much bigger than I anticipate. LOL Have a great week and don't work too hard.

You are one busy lady! Well done on the painting, it's hard work but worth it. I agree with the choice of white for the ceiling, another blue would have been too much maybe? You were quite restrained with the new stash spending, hope you have fun using it!

Hi Carol, great job on the decorating. We've just redone our bathroom, wish it was as large as yours! Ours is very small with sloping eaves. Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #5 %

Really pleased to read that PT is going well Miss Carol, it helps with the time it takes up if it’s showing results. Good for you. Am super impressed by your bathroom work, such a pretty colour too! I hate HATE cutting in, so I think youre a marvel. I would have used the ‘bone in my leg’ excuse! Like the cactus items..am not a huge user, but of course, if I lived in Arizona they’d practically be my trademark!

Well done you doing all that painting, Carol and working and doing physical therapy, what a lot to do, here we call the latter physiotherapiy. We Aussies tend to abbreviate things!
I’ve some if those makeup brushes, I bought mine on eBay. Very good price, they’re good but I love my other brushes by Inkylicious and large sponges too, two diff brands of them, like certain applications for certain media.
Have great weekend, I’m rather late.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.
