Hey There!

I've admired this cool stamp set by Richard Garay since it came out but it just wasn't available to me at that time.  Well, my friend Carol knew I liked it and, omg, she got it for me when it came available! (She is such a sweetie!)

Aren't these animals a real hoot!!!  I used to have a horse, chickens, geese, sheep and cattle WAY long ago so now you can understand why this set spoke to me!

As I was digging through a basket of scraps I found some fun texture pieces that I got years ago.

I colored the horse with my Color Burst pencils.  Now you may think the teeth are weird but having looked a horse in the mouth MANY TIMES they are NOT white!  There's browns, greens, and yellows between them. I actually used a Memento Tuxedo Black ink since these stamps are photopolymer and not rubber.

Here's a closer look at the texture pieces. the back one feels almost like cork with shades of oranges and browns.  The top is like woven wood but it's not woven.  Not sure how one would describe it. You can see more of it in the full card picture above.

I couldn't come up with a good layout using the papers I wanted and am not super happy with this.  What do you think?
