Hump Day Desk

Well, it's Wednesday again.  It didn't seem to come as fast for some reason.  But today is the day you get a look at my desk and the opportunity to view many more as part of What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a fun desker get-together put together by our Queen, Julia of the Stamping Ground.  Kinda sounds a bit royal, doesn't it?

I took this photo yesterday afternoon as I was in the process of cutting card kits for my Friday class and I was trying to adhere my embossing ink pad back in its case.  I used rubber cement which seems to work, for a while at least. So there is my large paper trimmer, my MISTI, my tub of white embossing powder, and my pieces of ink pad.  At this point of time in my photo I need to cut more little teal strips to emboss on as I ruined a couple with the ink pad falling out of the case and on stuff.  Oh well.

And this morning I need to prep a card for my Wednesday FB video.  Got an idea flitting around in my head but it needs to land so I can grasp it.

I missed joining in last week as hubby had his every 2 year endoscopy to check his throat.  According the to doc everything looked great!  I got results from my blood work and bone density check and I have osteopenea, which can and maybe not develop into osteoporosis.  Well, out goes the carbonated water.  After reading up on this carbonation is a bad thing.  Change of diet in in progress.

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day and I'll be working my way around desks shortly!

My word Carol, that is a big cutter! Mind you, the amount of workshop prep you do I expect it’s worth it’s weight.. glad to hear about hubby’s Positive check up, but ergh, change of diet to include non carbonates, that’ll be hard. When you go out, it’s hard to choose a drink, kinda like when you go caffeine free and keep forgetting!

Hi Carol, if the rubber cement fails, the best glue for doing this is Gorilla Glue- the one that looks like a brown liquid in the bottle. It's activated by water, you have to mist the surfaces to be glued with water, so it's perfect for glueing a wet item. I needed it for a Distress Inkpad that wasn't stuck to the base, and it worked like a charm.Good to hear Hubbys check up was good! Fingers crossed the change of diet works for you. Have a lovely week, Hugs Shaz #4 X.

With all good intentions when i'm prepared and ready to go I usually drop or splash something on to my precut bits and pieces too. Hope your FB card idea has came to plan? Good to know your Hubbies check up results are good and I wish you all the best with that diet change, it's never easy to replace food loves with something else.

Hi Carol, hope all your plans work out okay. Pleased the check-up went well too. I don't very often drink anything carbonated as it has a strange effect on my stomach if I have to much rather like stomach cramps but I'm sure you'll get sorted. Wishing you a very happy woyww with hugs, Angela x11x

Yes Carol, I've tidied the exploding box a bit but not sure if it's not just as full again. One day maybe it will either be tidy or maybe I'll get a bigger box Lol! xXx

You have a ton of goodies on your table. Tools galore. I've been known to drop an ink pad on a sentiment before.

Glad to read about your husband, but sorry the change of diet is required for you. I don't drink carbonated drinks, but I would NOT be able to give up my coffee. Happy WOYWW from #1.

How odd that carbonated water affects osteoporosis! Still, it's a small thing to change if it helps. Good news about your hubby too....phew. That is a huge cutter on your desk, I bet it sees some action though. Thanks for the lovely comment, I'm glad you enjoy my little rambles around Wales, I enjoy seeing pics of other people's places just as much!

Generally good news about your medical results. Hope you soon get used to no carbonated drinks. I rarely drink anything other than plain tap water when I go out, or fruit juice. x Maggie (Silvercrafter) #9

Love looking at your full desk. Glad to hear about hubby and the great thing about screenings, is you get to make changes and take care of yourself now instead of finding out later that it's too late. Change is hard especially the older we get, but you got this! Dorlene #27
