A Clean and Simple Birthday Card

I've been enjoying doing some challenges lately and they can jump start the mojo at times.  This challenge did. The hardest part for me was what to use for certain elements of the card!  I follow the CAS Colours & Sketches blog and this is sketch #316.

I decided on a birthday card since I found an embossed piece of paper in my stash from years ago!  It was in a drawer with some embossing folders and such but I don't have this embossing folder.  I think I received it in a swap way back when.

It is hard to see the embossed layer.  You may have to click on the picture to enlarge it.  The print paper and cupcake are from a long retired pack of Fun Stampers Journey paper. I tried not to overwhelm the card with too much color.

The Celebrate is from the Celebration Script stamp set.  There is a coordinating die set it, too!  I hope you head over to CAS Colours & Sketches and check out the sketch inspiration cards and challenge cards!
