Cracking Up at My Desk

I get to play today!  I did not get chosen for Jury Duty, my group was excused, so now I will get some mending and laundry done, make a couple cards, and tour desks!  Yep, it's the tour d'desks! (Or however you want to say that.)  And this fun tour of work desks is brought together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  She's the glue that keeps up together!

My desk photo was taken yesterday afternoon as I try to get up real early to link in and I've not got much brain to take a photo, download it to my computer, edit/crop it, resize it, save it again then make a post.

I'm starting on card samples for a class the end of March.  The one here on my desk is done and I'll show it in a bit.  So, on my desk, left to right.
You see a corner of my paper trimmer in front of my Cricut, then a pile of stamps. The little black piece with the green egg shaped thing is a die to match the egg stamps in the pile.  On my scrap paper is the card front and a strip of pattern paper on some solid paper. Far right is an ink pad and my ATG adhesive roller.  I'm trying not to resize my photo too much so that if you desire to click on it for a closer look it should enlarge.

And now for the card that came from this mess...

Usually in my classes I start with an easy card and work up.  This is the easy card.  Very simple and not necessarily Easter. All products are from the company I'm affiliated with.

My purple ink doesn't like my egg stamp ever after I tried to condition the stamp.  I may have to use a different color ink.

Now you've reached the end of my post.  Please head over to the Stamping Ground for more desks.  I'm not using my regular signature here as I'm wondering if using it is possibly causing my blog to get 30 - 40 bot hits every 4 - 5 hours (over 200 daily when I usually get about 30 - 75).  My blog even got hit 540+ times at 1 time last week.  What research I've done looks like it's a Blogger thing but I'm not sure. It was also suggested that I request "money to pay bills" (don't need, really!) to maybe stop some of the hits.  We'll see! My Feb. stats are totally worthless from all this.

I sympathise with the Blog stats issue - I get huge amounts of bot interference too. I think it's got worse since Blogger changed a few months back...sigh. Anyway, I love that egg card, it made me laugh - I would send that one to Julia!!

I had a blip like that a couple of weeks ago, but it was only the one day so I haven't done anything about it. I think the purple looks fine, really delicate and a good background for the sentiment. Happy WOYWW Sarah #23

Hi Carol. I'm with you - all that activity first thing in the morning before breakfast is just too much! I also tend to take the photo on a Tuesday afternoon/evening. Just LOVE the sentiment on that card. Such fun. Sorry you are having so much trouble with your site... hope it sorts out. None of us like, welcome or enjoy spam. Some of them are quite offensive. Believe it believe it not I got one the other day addressed to Margaret, offering me Viagra!! Interesting option.
Take care. God bless.

I have to agree with the others, I think the pale purple really works as a background for the sentiment. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz#5 xxx

I never understand those blog stats. Don't think enough people read for me to pay much attention lol. It is interesting to see where people are visiting from.

I love the card - it's beautiful.

I love the card you have made, Carol, with the pretty fresh spring colours. Altogether a lovely colourful post for WOYWW! Thank you for your lovely comment and especially for your prayers - I am being patient over my recovery and resting as and when necessary and letting my wonderful hubby look after me.

Happy belated WOYWW,

I think the card is adorable and will work great as an easy peasy card.

Hi Carol, I thought I'd left you a comment but can't see it so I'll try again. Loving that easter card but getting worried as I haven't started any yet but thanks for reminding me. Thanks for the visit to mine and happy belated woyww, Angela xXx 18

I like the paler colour makes the black stand out but not as stark as if it was left blank. It is annoying when stats aren't right. Tracy #15
