Just A Desk

It's another Wednesday, Hump Day, Desk Day, whatever you want to call it.  And today, our head desker, Julia at the Stamping Ground, has handed the reins over to Jan at Lunch Lady Jan's.  Me, along with about 50 - 60 (usually) crafters take part in showing you our desks in whatever shape/mess/neatness they are in when we take our photos.  Mine's just starting a new project.  I took this picture yesterday afternoon as once hubby comes home I do not get back on the computer.

You will need to click on the photo to see what all is happening.  I have changed out shelves on the top left since last week and am slowly filling the levels with stuff I use a bit more frequently.  The pink tote far left holds 25 card fronts of a masculine birthday card for an upcoming convention in Scottsdale, AZ with Fun Stampers Journey.  Next to it is a pack of paper sitting atop my paper trimmer. Next right is a couple envelopes with stamps and coordinating dies.  Then my Scor-Pal with a stack of white scrap paper and the start of a card.  Far right my ATG adhesive tool and Platinum die cut machine.  Back left is my Cricut, shelves, Copic markers, Ott Light, and ink pads.

I have nothing else today as I've been preparing to fly out tomorrow after work to Wyoming to see kids, grand kids, and great grand kids.  I'll be celebrating birthdays for many since this is my only opportunity to see them near their birthdays.  I'll be back home on Monday so this is a fast trip.

Well, this is such a short post so please head over to Lunch Lady Jan's to find the links to many others taking part. I'll be busy finishing laundry (hubby's work clothes) and packing.   But I will be taking time to hop around some desks so maybe we'll cross paths!

Great grandmother?? Blimey girl, you don't look (or act!) old enough for that....I really hope you have a wonderful time with your family - safe travelling. And if your hubby takes over the computer when he gets home, then maybe you ought to have one of your own :-). Just sayin'

Hi Carol, I hope you have a great trip, it does sound like it will be fun, if brief. I always seem to be re-organising lately. I need to do some more making, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #2 xxx

Hello Carol. Firstly, have a very, very special time with your family this weekend. A real treat - GREAT grandies!!! - wow! Your desk looks good - all ready for the next thing. Everything gathered in advance... now all you need is that little thing called time! You so kindly explained what is on your desk - what's the green handled item just to the right on your desk?!
Well, I started writing this an hour and a half ago then daughter number 1 rang.....If you have any spare prayer time - between your usual prayer and praying for Julia... our elder grandson is about to start treatment for a melanoma in his left eye. He might lose the sight in that eye due to the radiotherapy he will undergo, but hopefully he won't need to have the eye removed... a biggie for our daughter, her hubby, and their two youngsters. Nathan is 13 - and quite laid back about it all, but mum and dad are finding it harder to stay within the peace which God gives.
Anyway - have a great weekend. Take care. God bless.

Your desk looks very organised, Carol, ready for you to return to after your trip to see your family. I hope you have a really great time. Thank you for your lovely comment - I did manage to finish my hubby's card, thank goodness, and I shall be blogging about it in the next day or so, so watch this space as they say! It was such a relief to find Phoebe after a bad night thinking the worst. You are right - they wrap themselves around our heart strings, don't they! Thank you - I am feeling pretty good really, apart from exhaustion from overdoing things recently. Now I am over the cancer I am feeling a lot better generally and pleased that the hospital are so pleased with my progress.

Happy WOYWW,

Just spotted your other comment, Carol - thanks! Glad you like what I'd done so far at that point on my hubby's card. Melting Tyvek is really really fun to do. Glad you like my textures - I have to own up to being a bit of a texture junkie lol!
