Santa Treat Box and a Desk

What a glorious morning here in the southwest of the U. S.  We've been getting some much needed rain, not quite as high heat, but unfortunately, lots of humidity.  But enough of the weather report.  Today is the day many of us crafters celebrate our desks.  Yep, regardless of what our desks look like you get the opportunity to see where we work.  And this is all brought together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  She's headquartered in England and if you want more info click on one of the page tabs at the top of her blog.  But now my desk.

I stepped  back to give you a full view of my desk area.  I have a small room, about 10' x 11' and the left outside wall is just to the left of the TV.  A small (and VERY full closet is just to the right of the table.  There are 2 shelves above my desk but you can't see the top one which has my Bind-It-All, large Zyron, basket with 100s of bottle tops, box of paints, and some empty containers.
The shelf on par with the TV has 2 sets of drawers of scrap paper sorted by color, a set of drawers with printed instructions of past classes, printed tutorials, who knows what.  Then there's 2 bins of cards, FSJ card stocks & printed papers, then my clear shelf with tax stuff, speciality paper (like watercolor pads, vellum).
The table has my red Circut sitting on it's bin of cartridges, a large paper gazebo (I'm adding Stickles to the top that's sitting on my ATG gun, shelves of misc. stuff, my rack of ink pads, then baskets of cards semi done and crap, I mean scraps.
Under the table are 3 Iris cards of punches, ink refills, and other stuff.  I have gone through and purged so much from these 3 carts but one could never tell as I reloaded them with stuff from the shelves.
Ok, that's one wall but it's where I work other than the wall with my computer.

I also want to show you a little treat box I made last Saturday at a make 'n take at a local crop sponsored by the local scrapbook store.

Here's a closer view of the embossing...

I thought I had some white flocking but didn't so used some sparkly white embossing powder.  I used a black/gold mixture for the belt and silver for the buckle.  A few black rhinestones and it's ready to be filled.  I was told the svg pattern came from Crafts U Print.com or something like that.

Those of you from other countries, does my blog show a notice about the use of cookies?  Google told me I'm required to verify if it does.  This is all new to me.  Thanks!  I have seen this notice on European blogs.

Ok, kind of a long post but now you've reached the end.  Please head over to the Stamping Ground to see the links of other crafters brave enough to show you their desks and projects!

Hi, Yes there was a notice about cookies. I think everyone (US or not) has one at the moment.
I love that little gazebo you are making. And of course your make and bring (or something) is cery cute. It has something Christmassy about it. (Like Santa's belly, lol)
Have a great week,

I love that little Santa box...so clever and such a simple idea. Perfect for today too as the weather feels like winter over here!!!
I've been seeing that grey bar too..think it's something that Google is doing.

Hi Carol great view of the desk. You must have to be very organised with all that collection of stuff, it sounds great. Thanks for the visit to mine. Bye the way if you get chance, please photo the Road Runner I would love to see him/her. I have never seen a live Road Runner only the cartoon.
Have a great week and happy woyww, Angela x 29

Hi Carol, no, no cookie monster post at the top of yours. I think, from what another blogger said, its some sort of EU directive, so possibly only us over here are stuck with it.Thats a smashing treat box- fabulous idea. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xx

I love that somewhere in all of that is your tax paperwork, that really made me smile! Cute little box, I like the colours you used for the belt, clever, specially as the buckle kinda needs to be silver, huh!yep, there's a cookiebanner atop your blog too. From what I could tell from the email I got from Google, they are fulfilling a new directive for European websites that dictates that all readers understand that the web site is placing cookies....andlets face it, Google is all about collecting ou.r info!

The gazebo looks amazing, Carol, and what a cute little box! It looks the same basic design as the all-in-one boxes I made for my lavender sachets. Thank you for your visit and your nice comment, and esp. for the prayers! I had a rotten day chemo-wise yesterday and didn't do anything but somewhat better today thank goodness. Glad you like the moulds. I am thinking about how to use the angel ones.

You have so much right there at your fingertips! I just love it. I used to have a lot more "right there" but since I'm "right there" at the front door and in the living room I've tried to keep things tucked away more which means I am constantly getting up for things. That's probably good exercise but it can get frustrating (and often my chair gets taken by someone furry and feline). Anyway, I really loved that I could biggify your photo and really poke around on your desk. I like the markers in the plastic bin. That's very nifty. Did you get a big lightning show to do with all that rain too? We got the rain and the lightning at work but just the light show at home. Judy #50 And thx for the visit earlier.

Hi Carol,
A bit late for WOYWW

.... the notice will only appear if you are signed in from a site in the European Union.
It is European Union law which requires that Google do it.. so as I am from Oz it is not here...
But hey, we all know every website uses cookies.. like it or lump it as they say. I have my settings so all cookies are deleted each time I close the web browser. You can do this in privacy setting.

Your room is tad like mine with space overload.. well done on making and then taking :D a wee parcel basket too.

Thanks so much for popping over and for sharing.
Happy belated WOYWW! Shaz in Oz.x #6
