Cats and Desks

Howdy everyone!!  Today is the weekly blog hop of desks!  Yes, it's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Julia at the Stamping Ground has been hosting this fun global blog hop for over 6 years!  If you are new to this please click HERE on Julia's blog when you head over there.

I do like my new Tonic 12" cutter.  I don't have to use the swing arms to cut up to a bit over 6".  Seems the swing arms are the first to break.  And the cuts are pretty straight!  On top of the cutter is a stamp set I used to make the card to the right.  I'll be posting the card later.  Far left barely in the photo are the packages of the precut and ready to make "Kit of the Month" cards I just got in.  Yep, more cards to make!  Today I don't work so I'll be enjoying making more cards and getting some laundry and house cleaning done.  Oh, and visiting desks!

Here's a card I made after seeing a fun card on Pinterest.

There are a lot of layers in this card.  I seen the pattern paper at the local scrapbook store and just had to have it.  I did a lot of die cutting to get this made.

The pattern paper on the inside is the reverse of the outside piece.  The cat was purchased from The Angel Company when I was a demo for the company years ago.  The text is from another TAC set. TAC closed in 2011.

I colored "Theo" with Copic markers then fussy cut around him.   And look at his eyes!  I added dots of Stardust Clear Gel pen for a sparkle.  You can see the paw prints in the paper behind him that carry on the feline theme.

Now please click on over to the Stamping Ground and check out the other crafters' desks.  Have your favorite beverage on hand because you'll end up spending more time than you think as you view great projects along with fun desks!  And if you're from the U.S. you need to head over to my June 26 post and leave a comment to win 2 stamp sets!  So far only 2 U.S. gals have left comments so the odds are VERY good for you to win!  There is a fab word set from A|Muse Studios and a Christmas set from My Mind's Eye.  Check it out!

Ahhh Carol what a great pussy cat card... Love all the layers...and details. Sad isn't it when a good company closes down, or things that you love to use become discontinued. Such a transient world.
Happy WOYWW, thanks for sharing, Shaz in Oz.x #5

I'm loving the look of your new Tonic cutter. I'm pro-Tonic myself so I know you have a winner there. Your beach card is really nice but I adore that kitty card. Theo put a smile on my face for sure! Have you been getting some of this rain lately? Loving that we haven't seen triple digits all week. Judy #47

Cats and desks don't usually mix, Carol (at least they don't in this house lol!!) but you've made a good marriage between the 2 this week!

Thanks for your lovely comment. My desk is far too tidy atm - not enough going on on it! Feeling slightly better this a.m., thanks.

Happy belated WOYWW,
