Wednesday Workdesk and I Love You

Today is that day, you know, the day you get the opportunity to see desks from all over the place for inspiration, organizational ideas, and who knows what!  And we all have Julia at the Stamping Ground to thank for this fun blog tour!  You need to pop over to her blog when you finish here and check it out!  I've been doing this for over a year and thoroughly enjoy the visiting I do.  But now on to my desk....

Not lots happening.  I have some stamps and scrap pieces on the left, my Scor-Pal (with 2 Hershey Kisses that barely made it through the photo before they were scarfed down) in the middle, and scissors, ink, acrylic blocks, and eraser, and small scraps of paper on the right.   I had just finished a card and was starting to put some stuff away when I took the photo.  The stamps on the left are what I used.  It's a set by Close To My Heart that I recently purchased.

I used a sketch by Operation Write Home.  The stamps are from the set "Country Born".  I colored with some Copic markers then sponged some ink around the images.  I used OWH sketch Challenge 233.  I love simple cards and there are both simple and some that are a bit more complex taking part in the challenge. So, if you are so interested, you can pop over there, too, when you're done here.  But please, click over to the Stamping Ground and check out the desks!  Have fun and it might be wise to have your cuppa coffee, tea, water, or whatever as your trip might take you longer than you plan!

That is a very nice card. The simple ones are my favorite. Not really a card maker as I am too messy.

You might think your card simple ... I think it's a really nice card. I often find I like the simplest of cards and designs and love white space!!!!!

What a sweet card, such a cute sentiment.

Your desk is quite busy! Gotta have that chocolate to keep the strength up. ;-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier and for the nice comments.

Looking at your desk, it's obvious you've been very busy and still are.

Oooh! So many piles of wonderful things on your desk. I'll bet you can find some real nifty things poking around in them (maybe even some more Hershey kisses). Great country card! Thanks for the visit earlier. I like a clean desk--less stuff to pick up off the floor in the morning after the cats have been left unsupervised all night. Judy #72

Hi Carol, thanks for visiting me, I also will have problems remembering where I have put the stuff.
Love your CD cases with stamps in, such a good idea, and that card is such fun.
Bit late to say have a good day, so bless you

OWH has become a real inspiration in so many ways. I like the card very much...it may be a simple sketch, but your treatment of it and the lovely colouring belies that.
Is that black tape or black foam tape on the right? great idea.

I'm impressed the Hershey Kisses made it as far as the photo!! Not sure that would have happened in my house :-)
I love the Bushel and Peck sentiment, hadn't heard that one before!!

Hi Carol,

There are lots of goodies on your desk! Since mine is in front of a window I can't stack things up like that to get the most of my space (drats). Like you, I like making simple, no fuss cards. Although some of the detailed cards are so beautiful, just can't see myself making them!

Thank you for visiting me already!
Happy WOYWW
