Desker Day and Another Tuesday Morning Sketch

I have been working on learning how to run my Cricut Expression and actually made 4 cards!  Yes, 4 cards!!  Don't faint!  I used that red machine more Monday and yesterday than the last 2 years combined, I think.  And I'm going to celebrate that fact while I show you my desk in honor of head desker Julia of the Stamping Ground and her international blog tour!  Yep, it's desker day!

I just started putting away the Cricut as I was finishing my 4th card for a class in June. My Big Shot is already in its place since I have little room on my table. There's my Southwest cartridge and book under the stamps and Cricut spatula on the left; cards, Heartfelt Creation dies and scrap paper in the center, and scissors, ink pads, acrylic blocks, foam tape and the handle of my red ATG adhesive gun on the right.  Are you ready to see one of my cards?  This one is in response to a challenge on Tuesday Morning Sketches this week.

I'm enjoying the Southwest cartridge but am still using some Spellbinder dies.  The stamp is from a set by Fiskars called "All Season Greetings".

I added some itty bitty clear rhinestones to the antenna.  They almost look like eyes.  My cards are usually rather simple and easy as I want my "students" to be able to replicate my class cards easily.

If you enjoyed my desk or project please leave a comment then hop on over to the Stamping Ground and Tuesday Morning Sketches for more fun ideas!  I hope to do some more blog hopping when I get home this afternoon from running errands and working out.  You can see 2 cards in my desk photo but 1 is in my previous post.

Well done you for getting your head around your cricut! I think we are all guilty of buying new kit then not using it (often because we can't work out or remember how!!). I'm sure you'll be flying with your card making from now on. Thank you for the earlier visit, Happy WOYWW, Cindy

Hi Carol, thanks for visiting me earlier. I am a bit late tonight as I have been trying to get the Lavinia Stamp picture finished.
It's much quicker making papercraft stuff.
The card is great and love the colours you've used.
Happy crafting, Angela x 46

Yes, I think you are right there - my desk HAS been all over the place this week. Great fun to have variety in life, isn't it?!! Tomorrow I must see if I can achieve what the bridal designer told me. Gulp, swallow!
Have a great week.

I guess I need to get one of those die cutting machines. They are SO handy, even though I don't make cards very often (maybe twice a year). Four cards are quite a fete, I think. Thanks for your visit and happy WOYWW from #5.

I forgot to mention that my Word Perfect package is from the 90s, too. I found if I had both Word and Word Perfect installed on the same computer, I had problems. Once I got rid of Word, I had no problems whatsoever.

Lovely clours on your cards, really cheery. Im the same with the Cricut..I think it's because you have to have so much space, so once it's away..it's away! I haven't bought a new cartridge for about 5 years either, so I guess I'm not missing it!

Oh I'm envious, I haven't had time to sit with my Cricut Expression and make 4 of anything for a long time. Fun card. Thanks for dropping by my blog. Susanne #62
