My Desk and a Tuesday Morning Sketch

Ah.... March in the desert of southern Arizona.  We received 1 5/8" of rain last Saturday and the ground is happy!  Meanwhile, I'm preparing for a 3 day scrapping retreat south of us.  I'm going as a part of the staff of the AZ Scrapbooking store of Green Valley, AZ.  This is my 5th (I think) with the store and each year I'm in charge of something.  This year I'll be handling the sale of store products plus my own stuff.  We're also doing something special and I have my stethoscope, "syringe" (a large baster for turkeys), and  more.  I'll be posting pics when I get back and get them downloaded to my computer.  But for now you get to see what my "desk" looks like.  Well, this isn't my desk but it's the beginning of 3 cases I'm packing.  I enjoy taking part in this international blog hop put on by Julia at the Stamping Ground and really enjoy viewing all the cool desks and inspiration as I travel around the world.

This crate has wheels and I have my paper and Big Shot, dies, and heavier stuff in it.  I have gotten the other 2 cases out which will have my stamps, Copic markers, and oodles more going in them.  I also need to get my small table, portable OTT light, computer, extension cords and some other stuff ready.  Oh, and my clothes!  I even have some nurses scrubs ready for my part in the skit.

Earlier today I was blog surfing and one that I follow, Tuesday Morning Sketches, had a cute sketch and I decided to try it.  So, here's my take on their sketch:

I used some paper I got when I was a demo with The Angel Co., a stamp set from CTMH and a text stamp from a set by Fiskars.

I received this set as a gift (there are 2 stamps in the set) when I joined a hostess club with the ex-owner of TAC.  These stamps are tiny but I like the detail.  I did add some Stardust Clear Gel pen marks on the butterfly and flower along with the rhinestone.

So, as I scramble to get ready to go please enjoy  blog surfing by clicking on the Stamping Ground and heading over to England to start the tour.  And, if you're so inclined, please leave a comment as to my card or whatever.

You look like you are getting ready for a month away from home, but I know how many art supplies we can pack for these events. It's fun getting it all together, but putting it all back can be a chore. Have fun at your retreat. Happy WOYWW from #1.

packing up crafting stuff is a very well thought out list... fun to get to-get-her, and annoying to put away. Happy trails. Thanks for sharing Carole # 84
