CAS cards

I follow a LOT of blogs and seen some really cool CAS cards recently (clean and simple).  I thought they were just fantastic so I gave their particular design a try (and I'm searching for the site where I seen them). Anyway, the first card turned out pretty good but the second left a lot to be desired...  All images by The Angel Co.

This is basically just 1 layer except for the glossy blue strip. I sure like this!

I colored the tree with Copics then used the Stardust Clear Gel pen for some bling.

It took me some time but I finally figured out what I don't like about this card.  For one, the tree is too large, and two, the dots are too large. I did use some White Liquid Applique and some Stardust Clear Gel pen to bling up the tree.  Oh well, I still like the design, just my elements were awry....  What do you think??
