Playing with "Color Me" paper...

I'm not even sure this is the correct name of the paper but it's really cool!  It's a silver embossed heavy weight paper (not cardstock) that you can color with inks, chalks, walnut inks, markers, or whatever you want to play with!  This paper is made by Hot Off The Press.  It's acid and lignin free and comes in various designs.  Here's the snowflake paper in its uncolored form.

This piece was colored with Shimmer Chalks.  I used 2 different blues.

Isn't this just lovely??

Here I swiped Prussian Blue PH ink.  Interesting.

I used Cornflower Walnut Ink on this one.

The splotches does give a rather vintage look.

After coloring you need to wipe the paper with a tissue or soft towel to remove the colorant from the embossed design.

I'll be posting the 3 Christmas cards soon using these pieces.

I've got several sheets of this type of paper in my stash and sad to say have never colored them. I like the 3 different looks - but my favorite is the chalked design, it seems to have more complete coverage and is softer.
