Autumn Leaves and Desks

It's Wednesday! Do you know what happens today?  If you've been following me you know but if you're new it's a day of desks across the world!  Yep, I'm a part of a blog tour of desks put together by Julia at the Stamping Ground.  This is week 383 so this has been going on for a LONG time!

We've been having some nice cool mornings and it's been wonderful!  The only problem is that here in southern Arizona we don't have the trees that get the gorgeous fall colors!  I so miss seeing those in the mountains of Wyoming where we used to live (and where I'd move back to in a heartbeat if I could).  Last week I shared a photo of some leaves I had die cut and was working on for an upcoming class.  Well, I'm not ready to share the card but I'll give you a glimpse right after I show you my desk.

My desk is busy working on postcards for a hostess of an upcoming Make - It Party.  I need to get these to her Thursday so we can start planning on her party.  She had so much fun at the class I taught last week she wants to hold one in her home only there I'll be going after sales.

Here's my "students" from my class last Friday.  We had a ball making Halloween cards!  All these gals are accomplished card makers so, except for the last card which was the most difficult, they finished all 4 cards in about 2 hours.  I made up kits with paper pre-cut and more to cut the waste.

I bet you're waiting for my card.  Well, here's the glimpse....

Ok, I didn't give too much away but I bet you can guess what the leaves form.  I'll probably show the full card next Wednesday so you do need to come back.

Now that you've reached the end of my post please head over to the Stamping Ground for the links to others who are brave enough to show their desks and projects!!

Yep, one of the greatest waste-savers is kit making isn't it, and it helps the customers get value too, because they can get it all done in the time allocated. Also, I feel that no one wants to pay for a class where they learn to cut paper! I'm sorry that you're missing the grandeur of Fall, it seems that wherever we are, there's something we miss seasonally.

Bet that was a great time with the class. I always pre cut shapes for cards when my friends come round so that at least they end up with some cards as we spend too much time gossiping. Thanks for the visit to mine, have a lovely woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x 14

The photo of your class made me happy - wherever we are in the world, there's women making things. IT has got to be part of our inherited gene memory, I reckon. Lovely little glimpse of your card, I like th way the leaves intersect!

Congrats on booking another class! Here's hoping it goes as smoothly as this last one did. That peek at your card is such a tease! I can't wait to see the whole thing. I bet it's really lovely. And, I do have a small smidge of an idea of what the leaves form, but I'll wait to see for sure. Have a great week!

A bit of a tease this week I see. I can't wait to see the full card. Lucky I'm late getting round this week, so only a couple of more days for me. Congrats on the success of your class and the next party class. Thanks for visiting me. Hugs, LisaDV#34
