Desks and a Nautical Card

We are getting back to our warmer temps but do have a chance of rain tomorrow.  I'll take it!  We are a hot and dry climate and rain really greens up the countryside.  But you can visit all over the world without leaving your desk today!  Yep,  it's What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday!!!  The lovely Julie at the Stamping Ground has been hosting this fun blog tour for over 6 years!  Today is week 357.

I'm in the process of making a card for a FB challenge through a fellow "coach" at Fun Stampers Journey.  It was to be Easy Peasy.  I don't know if my card would qualify for some but it was very easy for me.  Oh, what do you see...  paper trimmer and dies on the far left, card in the process in the middle, and tools to the right.

This is the card I was working on.  I used a variety of FSJ products so if you are interested, contact me.

I decided to knot my twine but the knots didn't show so I added some sequins under them.  A bit more pop that way.

Are you ready to head over to the Stamping Ground and look around?  I'll be there and everywhere.  And for those of you who have been following the problems with my car.... I bought a different one on Saturday and got it Monday!  I have pics on my previous post!  Now to sell the old...

Well happy new car, hope you have years of trouble free ownership! I love the sequins under the knots, what a brilliant idea to show off the knots better. I might have to steal that idea!

I love those knots over the sequins. That is a nice way to show both off. Nifty nautical card too! Are we really due to have rain tomorrow? This weather is so kooky.

I love nautical themes, and the way you highlighted the knotting with sequins was brilliant. Blessings!

A gorgeous card with a nautical theme and a fabulous blue colour, Carol.

Thank you for your lovely comment - I am now fully recovered and can only think it was a 24-hour minor inner ear infection or something like that. Horrible while it lasted but soon over! The decorating is now finished and I am thrilled with how it came out - seeing my vision becoming a reality is marvellous and it couldn't be better. We still have a few things to bring back in but we are using it again and loving the new uncluttered feel.

We've had an extremely busy couple of days because as well as the decorating and other odd jobs being done, the men came at very short notice yesterday to replace our blown double glazed units with nice new clear ones, and we had to move at high speed to clear the rooms ready for them. I am therefore very behind with all my WOYWW comments as I didn't have any time to be on the computer yesterday.

Happy belated WOYWW,
