Easter Cards and Retreats

I just spent 3 days in Rio Rico, AZ at a scrapbooking retreat but I made cards.  I finished ALL my "required" Easter cards, prototypes for a class, and some fun ones.  I got home yesterday at 2 pm - pretty early but then, I only live 20 miles from the resort!  I didn't really take many pictures but here's a couple....

This is the convention room we used at the Esplendor Resort.  We were getting set up as the gals would be arriving in a couple hours.  There were 40 gals, Debi, the store owner (AZ Scrapbooking sponsored the retreat), and Susan & I who teach classes at the store.  I was absolutely amazed at the amount of stuff those gals brought!  Barbara had a WAGON to haul her stuff!! Oh my gosh!  I thought I had lots with my 2 collapsable (I know, I spelled it wrong) totes and a double-decker tool box.  The tables were just LOADED!

This is the view to the north as we ate on the outside dining area.  We had gorgeous weather with a light breeze.

This is one of my Easter cards but not one of those I made at the retreat.  All images are by The Angel Co.

I did a bit of sponging in areas of the stamped image for a bit of pop.  I think that made it look a bit more vintage.   Wednesday for the work desk post I'll show you my table BEFORE I started working.  I can say it was clean when I started.  I should have taken another pic in the middle of all my work but each evening I cleaned my desk up and kinda packed a few things so the guys could vacuum if they desired.  The hotel kept us in coffee, iced tea and water.  And the breakfasts and dinners were fabulous! I'm afraid to step on my scale.  I'll be good with my eating this week as hubby may be out of town working again.

Looks like so much fun - and the scenery is beautiful - sure beats here with more than 2 inches of rain. I think I just about have my Easter cards finished. Love the one you posted.
